Position: Corporate Finance Executive
Reporting to: CEO
Role Summary
Our client is seeking a highly analytical and intellectually curious Corporate Finance
professional to support financial structuring, capital strategy, and strategic decisionmaking.
This role goes beyond traditional finance and requires an individual who can apply
financial principles to real business challenges — including funding structures, risk
design, and growth strategy.
The ideal candidate is comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment, can quickly
grasp concepts, and translate them into actionable financial insights.
This role is designed for individuals who enjoy applying finance in
unconventional ways and are comfortable working at the intersection of strategy
and execution.
Key Responsibilities
Review and interpret financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) to support
strategic decisions
Ensure integrity and accuracy of financial data used in analysis and decision-making
Translate accounting information into financial insights for business planning and
capital allocation
Support alignment between financial models and underlying accounting records
Bridge financial reporting and corporate finance by translating accounting data into
strategic and investment insights
Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic and
investment decisions
Support capital structuring decisions (debt, equity, hybrid instruments)
Apply venture finance principles including runway analysis, burn rate,
and dilution modeling
Identify, assess, and structure financial and operational risks
Support scenario planning and strategic financial forecasting
Translate business strategy into financial implications and actionable
insights
Candidate Profile
Background in Corporate Finance, Investment Analysis, Financial Advisory, or
related field
Demonstrated experience in financial modeling and scenario analysis
Understanding of capital structure, leverage, and funding strategies
Exposure to venture finance, startups, or high-growth environments is an
advantage
CFA candidate (Level II or above preferred) or equivalent analytical training
Candidates who transitioned into finance (e.g., engineering, quantitative
disciplines) are highly desirable
Key Competencies
Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
Ability to quickly understand concepts and execute independently
Intellectual curiosity and willingness to challenge assumptions
High adaptability and comfort working in unstructured environments
Strong communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex financial
concepts
Experience & Qualifications
3–5 years relevant experience in:
Strong proficiency in financial modeling (Excel essential)
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, or
related field
CFA (completed or in progress) is an added advantage
