HSSE MANAGER

Role: Mid Level Manager

📍 Location: Buyoro and Nwoya (with travel across operational sites)

Asili Agriculture is seeking an experienced and strategic Health, Safety, Social & Environmental (HSSE) Manager to lead the implementation of world-class HSSE standards across our operations.

This is a critical leadership role focused on building a strong safety culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, and advancing environmental sustainability and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities
Lead occupational health & safety systems and programs
Drive risk assessments, incident investigations, and emergency preparedness
Design and implement HSSE training frameworks across teams
Ensure compliance with Uganda OSH regulations and National Environment Management Authority requirements
Oversee environmental and social impact processes (ESIAs)
Strengthen community engagement and stakeholder relationships
Champion integration of International Finance Corporation (IFC) Environmental & Social standards

Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, OHS, Engineering, or related field
Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role
NEBOSH Diploma & ISO 45001 Lead Auditor Certification (required)
Strong expertise in ISO 14001, risk assessment, and incident investigation
Proven experience in agriculture or manufacturing environments
Experience with IFC audits is a strong advantage
