Position: Territory Manager
Reports To: Product Head
Location: Kampala, Uganda

JOB PURPOSE
The Territory Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and performance of Zakom Tech's assigned territory. The role will ensure effective management of multi-site operations, supervision of field teams, revenue performance and operational standards across the assigned locations.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that business operations run efficiently, teams perform effectively, customers are served appropriately and revenue targets are achieved.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Operations Oversight
▸ Oversee the day-to-day operations of multiple sites within the assigned territory.
▸ Ensure all operational locations are functioning effectively and in accordance with established company standards.
▸ Monitor site performance and identify operational gaps and opportunities for improvement.
▸ Ensure proper implementation of company policies, procedures and operational guidelines.
▸ Conduct regular site visits and operational inspections.
▸ Coordinate with relevant internal teams to resolve operational issues affecting service delivery.
2. Team Management & Supervision
▸ Supervise and coordinate staff working across multiple sites within the assigned territory.
▸ Develop work schedules and ensure adequate staffing across operational locations.
▸ Monitor employee attendance, productivity and overall performance.
▸ Provide day-to-day guidance, coaching and support to field teams.
▸ Address operational and staff performance issues and escalate matters where necessary.
▸ Support the recruitment, onboarding and training of new team members.
3. Revenue Management
▸ Monitor daily, weekly and monthly revenue performance across assigned locations.
▸ Support the implementation of strategies to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
▸ Track sales and revenue trends and identify opportunities for growth.
▸ Ensure accurate recording, reconciliation and reporting of revenue generated across sites.
▸ Work with the Business Manager to develop and implement initiatives aimed at improving revenue performance.
4. Data Analysis & Reporting
▸ Collect, analyse and interpret operational, sales and revenue data.
▸ Prepare regular reports on territory performance, revenue, staff productivity and operational issues.
▸ Use data to identify trends, gaps and opportunities for improved performance.
▸ Maintain accurate records and provide timely information to management for decision-making.
5. Customer & CRM Management
▸ Support the effective use of the company's CRM systems.
▸ Ensure customer information and relevant operational data are accurately captured and maintained.
▸ Monitor customer feedback and escalate recurring service issues.
▸ Support initiatives aimed at improving customer experience and retention.
6. Inventory & Asset Management
▸ Monitor and manage inventory, equipment and other company assets assigned to operational sites.
▸ Ensure proper accountability and record-keeping for company property.
▸ Conduct periodic stock and asset checks.
▸ Report losses, damages or discrepancies promptly.
▸ Support the timely replenishment of operational requirements across assigned sites.
7. Stakeholder Coordination & Continuous Improvement
▸ Work closely with the Business Manager and other internal teams to achieve territory objectives.
▸ Coordinate with relevant external stakeholders where necessary to support business operations.
▸ Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, customer experience and revenue generation.
▸ Support the implementation of new initiatives, processes and operational improvements.
8. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES
▸ Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Telecommunications or Operations Management.
▸ At least 3 years of experience supervising multi-site operations.
▸ Experience in telecommunications, ISP, retail and/or field operations will be an added advantage.
▸ Demonstrated experience in supervising staff and managing operational performance.
▸ Experience monitoring sales, revenue and operational data is desirable. ▸ Operations management.
